Shaping the future sustainably
Sustainable action is an integral part of our corporate strategy with a view to the future. This responsibility gives rise to commitment - to society, to the environment and climate, to the well-being of our employees, to combining sustainability and economic success.
We are convinced that greater sustainability can be better achieved together. That is why we are a member of the UN Global Compact and the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and provide our environmental data for the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). We also have our efforts evaluated by EcoVadis and take the 2024 ranking as an incentive to improve our sustainability practices in a targeted manner.

Our commitment at a glance

EcoVadis
A strong performance: the global, independent rating platform EcoVadis has awarded our efforts to date in the areas of the environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement with a silver medal. This confirms that our measures are working and provides additional motivation for the sustainability agenda in the coming years.

SBTi
Our commitment to reduced emissions: Harro Höfliger participates in the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi). We have developed ambitious targets and measures to significantly reduce our direct and indirect emissions in line with Net Zero. Together with over 4,000 companies and institutions, we are thus making a contribution to limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees.

UN Global Compact
Sustainable corporate governance: We support the ten universal principles of the UN Global Compact on human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption and make our contribution to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Programs for employee retention of 98%, the Energy Program 2030 and a sustainable supply chain are some examples of how we embed these principles in our strategy.

Compliance
Trust can only develop and grow if we behave accordingly. If we justify the trust of our customers, our employees, business partners and the public and protect the good reputation of Harro Höfliger. We therefore act in accordance with the law and adhere to our compliance rules. The Compliance Management System comprises all structures, processes and measures at Harro Höfliger that promote compliant behavior. Legal compliance is strengthened and made tangible for everyone by the Code of Conduct and the principles and rules formulated here for day-to-day work.
But what if there are still individual breaches of the rules? This makes it all the more important that we find out about them. This is the only way to clarify, rectify and prevent future violations. We have set up a whistleblower system for this purpose, which can be used to report irregularities, confidentially and anonymously. Alternatively, our compliance officer can be contacted by email, and information sent to compliance(at)hoefliger.de will also be treated confidentially.
