Who can I contact if I have questions about the company or my application?

What do I have to look out for when I apply?

Please submit all your application documents, including cover letter, resume and references or certificates, via our online portal.

What can I expect from the selection process?

We offer every applicant a fair chance. After receiving your application, you will receive a confirmation of receipt. We aim to process your application as quickly as possible. Please understand that it can sometimes take a little longer for internal clarifications to be completed. Applicants who convince us will be invited to an interview. Depending on the position, this initial meeting can take place either in person at one of our plants or virtually via teams. Representatives from the department and members of the human resources department take part in the conversation. The aim of the conversation is to clarify open questions and to introduce you to the potential tasks and development opportunities in our company. We would like to get to know you as a specialist and as a person, with a focus on personal fit and professional competence. During a possible second interview, you will be invited to your future place of work to gain insights into our machines and clarify any questions you may have. We make no distinction regarding gender, sexual orientation, origin, age, religion, ideology, tradition or physical/mental abilities when hiring. It is important to us that you fit in with Harro.

Who gets to see my personal data and how long is it stored?

You can depend on our complete discretion. Only those directly involved in personnel selection have access to your application documents. All your data will be deleted from our applicant management system after six months at the latest.  

Can I also send an unsolicited application?

You’re welcome to send us your unsolicited application via our applicant portal. Please indicate in your application the area in which you wish to work or the position. 

I already applied in the past. Can I apply again?

Even if you’ve already applied, we’d be happy to receive your application documents again.

What continuing education and training opportunities do you offer?

At Harro Höfliger, we attach great importance to providing skills and training programs for our employees, ensuring that they receive the best possible support for their challenging tasks and stay up to date with the latest technology. This is based on internal and external training courses and seminars e.g., in the area of professional competence for further professional qualification or social and methodological competence for personal development. We offer training in a variety of formats, including classroom training, online training, blended learning, and e-learning.

Do you offer foreign assignments?

Harro Höfliger is a globally active company with customers and foreign branches all over the world. However, the production sites are based in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Depending on the position, business trips and assembly assignments may take you all over the world. However, internships abroad are only offered in isolated cases. Please refer to the job description to find out if the position requires a willingness to travel. 

How does Harro contribute to environmental protection?

As a successful international company, we too take responsibility for preserving and improving the quality of life on our planet for future generations. That’s why we pursue ambitious goals to minimize the global impact of our business operations. An essential aspect of this is to avoid all greenhouse gas emissions along our value chain by 2040 at the latest. Today, we already source green electricity and offset the emissions from our gas consumption through certificates. With our ‘Transformation Plan 2030’, we are working full steam to convert our energy supply to self-generated, clean energy in the coming years. In our Mechanical Engineering Department, the Green Engineering Team is working tirelessly on making our high-performance systems even more efficient and energy-saving. Harro Höfliger's environmental management is DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 certified. You can find detailed information on our comprehensive sustainability strategy in our current sustainability report.

How can Harro Höfliger's corporate culture be described?

Harro Höfliger is a medium-sized enterprise with around 1,800 employees, which has retained the character of a family business despite its size. We place great importance on respectful and personal interaction at eye level. For decades, company celebrations like our annual festival or Christmas parties, have been part of our corporate culture. The close-knit atmosphere is also reflected in the low staff turnover and a very long average length of service. Despite its wealth of traditions, Harro Höfliger is a modern, flexible company that adapts with agility to changing market conditions.

Do you offer flexible working time models?

Your weekly working hours are always based on your individual employment contract. The regular working time is 40 hours a week, i.e. eight hours, five days from Monday to Friday. The start and end of your working hours in your department can be chosen individually within certain limits (flexitime). The flexitime account, in which you can accumulate overtime and reduce it again flexibly, offers you additional flexibility. Our working time account also offers you a good opportunity to achieve your work-life balance.

How does the induction period look for me?

Our employees go through induction according to the mentor model. This means that we assign you a mentor for technical and other company-related questions. Your mentor accompanies you through to your completion of the induction phase. Once you start work, you’ll also take part in a central introductory event providing you with the most important information so you can quickly get into working routine at Harro Höfliger. 

What is meant by ‘occupational health management’?

We concentrate on you as a person and not as an economic resource. So our aim is to organize your work processes and your workplace to promote your health. That’s why we introduced occupational health management (OHM) back in 2013. We offer a wide range of offerings for your health, together with partners like sports clubs, physiotherapists and health insurance funds from the region.

Does Harro Höfliger offer a company pension plan?

In order to secure your standard of living in retirement, you have the opportunity to build supplementary retirement provisions by way of deferred compensation in the form of a direct insurance policy. Harro Höfliger will subsidize your deferred compensation at a higher level than the employer subsidy prescribed by law.
