Key industry event 2026: Harro Höfliger at interpack
At Booth D21 in Hall 16, the company will showcase the MKT cartoner with cobot‑supported carton replenishment, the Assembly Lab 4.0 for semi‑automated assembly of medical devices, and the Modu‑C CS Containment capsule filling machine
A key focus is on solutions for changing requirements, spanning development through to production
Cell and gene therapies as well as digital solutions are among the additional topics
CEO Thomas Weller: Trade fair is an important platform for exchange with international industry experts
Allmersbach im Tal, May 5, 2026 - From May 7 to 13, Harro Höfliger will present technological solutions from its broad portfolio at interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf, showcasing systems for packaging, assembly and filling that are designed to adapt flexibly to changing requirements.
The presentation is complemented by topics of high relevance for future‑ready production, including cell and gene therapies as well as digital applications for increased data transparency.
“Interpack provides the ideal platform to engage with international industry experts on current and future production requirements and to present suitable solutions. The focus is on technologies that offer a high degree of flexibility across a wide range of applications,” says Thomas Weller, CEO of Harro Höfliger. Three exhibits exemplify this approach:
Flexible cartoning with the MKT: automated and reproducible
Using the MKT platform, Harro Höfliger demonstrates how cartoning processes can be further automated. The focus is on automated format changeovers and the reduction of manual intervention. A cobot takes over replenishing the carton magazine with folded cartons. The result is stable, reproducible processes, even when handling a wide variety of formats.
Assembly Lab 4.0: new generation of the semi‑automated assembly system
With the Assembly Lab 4.0, Harro Höfliger presents the next generation of its established system for the semi‑automated assembly of various medical devices such as autoinjectors and pens. The new version features a more compact design, ergonomic operation and higher output. With a rate of three to four products per minute, it is particularly well suited for small‑batch production and early clinical phases.
Modu‑C CS Containment: modular capsule production with trolley system
With an output of 43,500 capsules per hour, OEB 5 containment, an integrated capsule deduster and 100 percent weighing control, the Modu‑C CS offers an efficient, modular solution for capsule production. The trolley system allows different dosing systems to be used, depending on the filling medium. This enables the machine to combine high flexibility with product‑appropriate processing and reliable handling.
Focus on trend topics
Beyond the machinery on display, Harro Höfliger will also explore topics at interpack that reflect key developments shaping the future of the industry. These include innovative processes, collaborations in the field of cell and gene therapies, and digital solutions.
Advanced therapies: solutions for new requirements
Cell and gene therapies represent a dynamic future field in which automated and scalable production solutions are becoming increasingly important. Harro Höfliger will provide insights into its activities in this area, including collaborations with the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology (IPT) and leon‑nanodrugs.
Harro DIGITAL: greater transparency and support in production
With Harro DIGITAL, Harro Höfliger offers digital applications that deliver real‑time transparency into performance, KPIs and OEE data. These applications help identify the causes of unplanned downtimes and deviations more quickly and support operators with clear guidance directly on the machine’s user interface. Visitors can experience these capabilities in action on the Modu‑C directly at the booth.
