Harro Höfliger has gained more than 20 years of experience in the engineering of production and packaging lines for ophthalmic products. Our focus is on equipment for producing and packaging contact lenses, filling eye drops into blow molded tubes (BFS) and assembly of adjustable spectacles. In addition, the assembly of ophthalmic injectors permits an innovative administration of active ingredients.
Our precise assembly processes for optical lenses are decisive for long-lasting, well-functioning mechanically adjustable glasses, which the user can easily fit to individual eye-sight using an adjustment knob. When it comes to contact lenses, we have the knowledge to cover the entire value chain from lens manufacturing, primary packaging in blisters, secondary packaging in cartons and tertiary packaging in shipping cartons to late-stage customization.

Contact lenses

In the field of contact lens manufacture, Harro Höfliger has the know-how to cover the entire process chain up to late-stage customization. We master dry manufacturing processes as well as product hydration and safe, sterile packaging in single blisters.

Ophthalmic injectors

When assembling syringes for the injection of medication into the eye, sophisticated joining technology is one of the basic processes. High-precision processes and gentle handling ensure the safe assembly of components. Control and monitoring systems guarantee the highest quality.

Eye drops

Liquid medications such as eye drops are primarily filled into practical and hygienic single-dose containers such as blow-fill-seal ampoules. Harro Höfliger offers flexible and efficient solutions for labelling BFS strips as well as for packaging in folding cartons.

    Better vision all around – whether packaging contact lenses or assembling individually adjustable eyeglasses. For variable eyeglasses, liquid is dosed under vacuum between two plastic discs. An adjustment wheel on the frame can adjust the vision settings itself.
